Study finds Hollywood wrong about loss of revenue
An academic study has found no change in US box-office sales for new movies. Given a choice between downloading an illegal copy or going to the theater, people choose the theater.
Overseas there was a difference. An average of 7% drop. This drop only takes place if there is a delay in overseas release of the movie.
This brings to light and the question of the real agenda behind SOPA and PIPA bills to give corporations control over blacklisting and suing website owners…
