Hey Larry, thanks for sharing! I recently purchased a Flip Slideshare HD, and it kept stalling .. so after I thought I had recorded 4 mins of video, I would check my cam and see it stopped at the 1:25 min more or under.
It was quite frustrating, so I took it back, got a different version, at a lower cost.. the Flip Hd cam.. and it’s worked very well for me.. no stalling. Thanks for sharing the review on both cameras… very informative.

Gideon does a great job. I personally find the Zi8 better because of the mic-in jack. This dramatically improves the audio. The process of using a second voice recorder, while not hard, adds another step & gadget into the mix.
Of course now that our iPhones record video, I’m using mine less and less.

I agree. Having to buy a second device for audio then match that up is more than most folks will do or want to afford. My Flip Mino is going to give way to a Zi8 and an AudioTechnica ATR-3350. But, the flip can be a static second came to help make interesting mixes.
